Own the Stage: Memories (Youth Spoken Word Workshop Series)
Dates: July 7 – 11, 2025
Location: Cathedral Neighbourhood Centre
Ages: 15 – 25
Memories are simply stored perceptions about our experiences, and some memories or elements of our memories are not necessarily factual. Though they may not be a universal truth, they are our truths. In this workshop series for youth aged 15-25, we’ll explore how we can use spoken word poetry as a memory extension device and how we can embody and explore the remembered and almost-forgotten elements of our own stories and our own truths through conversation, activities, writing prompts, and an invitation to play. No experience necessary.
Free to attend | Limited spots available!
